Increasing reliability and productivity in the Oil and gas sector with Omni Flow Metering

Frequently referred to as the “cash register” of the petroleum industry, a flow computer is a scientific instrument that is typically used for custody or fiscal transfer between contracting parties.

Flow computers monitor and calculate the volume and mass flows in gathering and transportation pipeline systems for natural gas, crude oils, refined products, LPGs, and NGLs.

Featured Project:

Caspian Sea Projects for BP/AIOC

De Flow Ltd. supported the UK based contractors Bechtel, John Brown engineering and KBR in the concept design of the BTC pipeline and the ACG offshore project in Azerbaijan.
This project was the largest BP project worldwide and vital to the supply of Oil and Gas from the Caspian Sea region to the West.

De Flow supported oil companies and contractors during factory acceptance tests and pre commissioned the flow computer metering systems at the SFS module yard. Plus commissioning the equipment on the platforms offshore.

ACG & Shah Deniz Projects – Field Layout
De Flow was leading a group of specialist measurement companies. Our work on the BP AIOC ACG project phases 1, 2 and 3 includes measurement concept and detail engineering design, supply of flow computers, factory acceptance tests, commissioning at the Sangachal and STEP terminal plus the ACG offshore platforms.

Typical Omni Flow Computer Projects:

Supplied many flow computers since 1995 and still very active and successful suppling the equipment.

Clients included;
Scotia Gas Networks. State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Client feedback

They have provided us with a meter which we marinized for subsea application. The subsea version of the well monitor was tested underwater for ROV operation compatibility, and was tested metrologically at an independent flow loop.

We believe the well monitor can address some unique multiphase flow measurement applications where other meters cannot operate.
